Why does the 300 SRT have to die? WHY CHRYSLER, WHY!?
Excuse me while I go sob in a corner, knowing that this has to die while the Grand Cherokee SRT gets to live.

That's my line.

Wait... WHAT?!

Kill the SRT Cherokee. Dammit Chrysler, the only recent car I ever liked that you made. Now you've gone and killed it.
#Unfollow Chrysler. Who the fuck is John Varavatatatos anyways?

People who want fast, luxury sedans traditionally buy a German car.

This is some real BS

NOT WHEN IT'S ABOUT SOMETHING AS SAD AS THIS

Charger and GC and Challenger all get SRT variants still, but no 300.

Here I am thinking Chrysler is finally building a kick-ass super sedan with a great amount of luxury, then they go and KILL IT.

But this was supposed to be the affordable alternative, that looked miles better than most of the Germans anyway.

What?! When?!
Aw hell naw, sumbaadeh dun fuck up!

But then the problem is the badge. Most people also know Chrysler to be crap, unreliable, cheaply built American cars and go with Ford or Chevy.
Don't get me wrong, it's a sad day but it was kinda doomed from the start due a treacherous thing called OPINIONS and THE PAST.

The most attractive thing to come from Chrysler in a long time, AND THEY KILL IT.
![]() 05/06/2014 at 17:19 |

If that were the case, shouldn't the Charger and Jeep be killed as well because in the past they were cheaply built American cars? Shouldn't they have been doomed from the start?

The Charger has the badge to make people buy it. Jeep just has some weird cult following. Dodge seems to have a better rep than Chrysler currently as well.

The linebacker in a suit is no more! Everyone light up your tires in remembrance.
You'll be missed, friend...

PRETTY MUCH.
No Charger will entice me away from the 300!

I'm ready with pitchforks. Who else is coming to break down the doors and demand a new 300 SRT?

If it's like the Challenger and Charger, that doesn't mean it won't get the 6.4. The new Challenger 6.4 is an R/T.

I hope this is the case, but I dunno what you would call it? The 300 6.4?
![]() 05/06/2014 at 17:38 |

I couldn't tell you that. Maybe just an option on the 300C. Maybe they are going like Lexus and BMW and add a sport pack.

I can't care, no manual available...

As I mentioned on the front page...
I wonder if the SRT's goodies like the wheels, and the black optic package might get moved to options on the regular 300, like the 300S.
Or they could keep it with the 6.2 engine, and just replace the SRT badges... and call it the 300 Imperial or something.
SRT remains on Dodges, because it is basically 'super-R/T' as a Dodge package. Classic Mopar Chryslers and Plymouths didn't wear R/T, either.
Jeep may be keeping SRT on the Grand Cherokee, because it is the only Jeep to wear it... it's popular, and they may not be quite sure what else to call a hot-rod non-off-road Jeep.
But they could give a Chrysler a more imposing, luxury, executive moniker... Imperial would have history and have an executive power connotation.

Maybe like what Cadillac does with their V-sport package
![]() 05/06/2014 at 22:18 |

Maybe, but if I were buying a 4-door performance car, I'd get the SS. Especially since it's getting a stick.

Cadillac and Chevy does the sport sedan better, to be honest I would rather have the 6.2 s.c V8 then the 6.4 hemi. Just saying.

Too bad the Charger R/T won't get the 6.4 (naturally aspirated)
